2 Cor 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

What is wrong?
Jeremiah 46:15 God’s chosen people though they had teachers to instruct them in the way of God and His Law for thousands of years yet they failed to obey God, nor did they follow the voice of the Prophet of God’s Word, they too perished as the heathen that God judged and were taken captive until they repented, laid aside their own will and their own ideas and turned again unto God to honor and please Him through their obedience to His Word and His Will.
Unity is destroyed by the pride of men, the old man called self and his carnal thinking, worldly philosophies and man’s disobedience to God’s word and authority in matters of religion, demonstration and obedience!
Why are thy valiant [men] swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.
He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword. And they ran and they could not outrun the sword of God!
The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Valiant men are not always victorious. Ecc 9:11 Just because you think your doing things right, by this worlds standard does not mean you will be blessed for your time and toil.
1. People were made for a relationship with God and real satisfaction and contentment can be found only in that relationship people were designed for.
- Look at Adam and Eve in the Garden - fellowship with God and God provided all their needs.
- We, too, are here for the same purpose - fellowship with God and God providing all our needs.
- Satisfaction and contentment will come when we let God do what He wants to do for us.
2. Adam and Eve chose to do things their way, and I can’t help but think they mom and dad were a major influence to their son Cain who rebelled also against God and murdered his brother Able. The first family erred from God’s warning to abide in His Law and in Truth, instead they sought to the hurt of all mankind generation after generation to impose the will of man above the Will of God and obedience became distorted, it became a relative thing of perspective rather then an example, a duty to God and the greatest example of worship to Yahweh. By their disobedience they dishonored themselves and destroyed both physically and spiritually many whom they loved.
These all erred from God’s Truth and example and took up with their own religious perspectives disregarding their relationship to God and they found themselves conquered and divided by the lies of the enemy of God and they immediately experienced separation, loneliness, emptiness and loss of contentment because if you are not living the life God has for you, you are as good as dead.
Satan’s plan to take your soul and the souls of your family and children has already been put into motion. It is like the shot that is fired at a target in the distance and it’s a dead ringer right in the center of the target but there is a split second when the target if it is an animated object can change the outcome of the deadly shot.
When we begin to move toward Jesus Christ and we desire a relationship that will make us one with Him it destroys the enemy’s ability to hit a dead lifeless target.
When your alive you begin to move around a little bit if you get a little uncomfortable with your surrounding your conscience and your mind will begin to signal your body to move out of the way of danger.
How do we know if we’re dead?
If we’re dead in our relationship to God we will not know Him as we ought, nor depend on God as we know our children and depend on the love of our earthly father and mother.
Jer 44:27
Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that [are] in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.
- Like Adam and Eve, we also have chosen at times to do things our own way apart from God and therefore we may even now experience the same feelings they did and are constantly searching for satisfaction that till now seems still to be unattainable.
- Trying to be satisfied with what the world has is why there is war, divorce, adultery, theft, lies, murder and indebtedness, Substance abuse and alcoholism etc.
Only God can fill the place in our lives that belong to Him.
Until man is again restored to fellowship and communion with Jesus Christ there can be no Peace, no Hope, nor Eternal Life!
WE MUST MAKE A DECISION FOR OURSELVES AND THOSE WE LOVE GOD MUST be is in the equation that determines the outcome of your and my life and the path our children and our families will take to the grave.
Destruction will continue to loom forebodingly in your and their future unless you make a choice today to follow Christ and be redeemed from the curse of disobedience and damnation that plaques every person who chooses their own path their own way to live, rather then God’s way.
As time and failing health brings the earth and your physical body closer and closer together to meet that final sunset of your life here on earth.
Elvis Presley sang some of the most moving Gospel songs that we still hear today. But he also sang a song with a different tune and a different philosophy
One of his song lyrics were, “I Did It My Way.” We all know probably of Elvis’s final state when they found him unconscious sick in his bathroom dead at the young age of 30 something.
Some of us may be closer then we know to that last picturesque horizon that divides this life and this short time we have on earth from a timeless eternity
God is interested in what our heart is looking at too, not just about what our hands are grabbing for!
What has God placed in your hands today? Are you a good example don’t you want to raise that child in the ways of the LORD to grow up blessed and happy, or have the glory of God living on the inside of you to help you share this great life and the love of God with your precious neighbor or friends.
Romans 9:6, 7, 8
For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
Ecc 8:8
[There is] no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither [hath he] power in the day of death: and [there is] no discharge in [that] war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

How did the first revival message come to those who sought to please God and become children of God?
Acts 2:37, 38
Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Let us each of us now search our souls together and find that loving God and Father that is reaching down to us always urging us to accept His eternal love that will complete us and restore us to the Kingdom of God, complete us as families of faith and will unify us as a community of believers devoted to God through our obedience to God’s Word and the Spiritual awakening that comes when the Holy Ghost comes to live and tabernacle with us in this temple of our body. We need to make an alter in our lives for the work of God to be wrought within us that we may mature take upon ourselves the loving nature of Jesus Christ.
