THE TESTIMONY OF CHRIST

Num 16:45

Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

Duet 31:26-27

Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

1Kings 8:9-10,11

There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy [place], that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

Aaron and is son’s chosen of God as priest to keep the sanctuary.

Numbers 17:8

And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Ex 16:33,34

And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

Rom 28-29

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither [is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

But he [is] a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision [is that] of the heart, in the spirit, [and] not in the letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God.

1 Cor 10:-13

  1. The manna was God’s provision for Israel when they were in a land for 40 years that could not produce the food and nourishment they needed to live and further the purpose of God
  2. Aarons rod that budded was a type and shadow of the miracle God would do when he took mankind that was dead to righteousness because of sins and God would breathe new life into him after the work at Calvary that Jesus has done for you and I today and all who will repent of their rebellion.
  3. The Testimony is the Laws of God that revealed just how sinful the hearts of men are when we look into the Law and commandments of God. You might say it was a mirror that revealed how dirty our faces are when we stand in the presence of God.
  4. The spirit of God tabernacles with men today who have repented of their sins and come through Christ being obedient to the call of God through the Gospel converted by the “Spirit of Truth”, the Holy Ghost.
  5. (Peter was converted but not until the upper room experience, He had exceptional faith because Jesus prayed that his faith not fail but it was not the power God would use to convert his soul and build a relationship that would be more valuable to Peter then his own life would be when he was Martyred, crucified upside down on a cross some years later.

Our rebirth experience is a package deal, created on the inside of us by God.

  1. It includes the Law of God written upon the hearts of men as the prophet wrote in chapter 2 of the book of Joel, we become a testimony of Christ to all men.

  1. The sustenance of God in us that produces new life, His Spirit, the Holy Ghost.

  1. We must get the Word God the knowledge of God’s will and purpose for our lives in our hearts and minds that we may be able to thwart all the arrows of the enemy who comes but to steal, kill and destroy our relationship and opportunity with God.

  1. As it was with the ark in the temple in Old Testament times the manna and Aaron’s rod were preserved as long as they were in the presence of God’s Testimony His Law. Our preservation of this Christian life can only exist as long as we Live, walk and have our being immersed in Christ. We should strive to live our lives that the anointing and favor of God would be renewed upon us each day and that a refreshing of love that comes from the Spirit of Gods would be poured into us continually.

  1. What does your testimony come to bear as influence on those you love and friends around you today? Are you yielded to God? Are your spiritual affections in order today that God can bless you so that you can bless others?

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

When Jesus was baptized, Glorified, and crucified there was a testimony that came from heaven.

The voice from heaven, said, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.”  When we become a partaker with Jesus Christ, all the record of that heavenly testimony from Heaven bears witness to our participation with Christ, us also being clothed of the Spirit, and a partaker of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection in baptism.

Christ’s suffering and shedding of His blood is counted toward us to settle our account for sins if we finish the course God has set before us everyone and are invited into that great wedding feast in heaven.

The third testimony at Jesus death was when The Temple veil was torn that was made of badger skins, 60’ high, 30’ wide and 4” thick. When Christ yielded up his life it was torn into from the top to the bottom.

This signified that the entrance into the holy of holies was now freely offered to all who will come humbly, seeking repentance, and asking God for the gift of life.

The only power the enemy has over the life of a born again man, woman or child of God is the power we allow him in our lives.

We’re all running an account for our sins on credit, so to speak until the consummation of all the things pertaining to us in this life.
