What is, Repentance , Baptism and Conversion?
1. Repentance is turning away from sin. Asking Christ to take authority over us and our sins that Christ may take away our sins and remove the influences that dirty our temple and make us unfit for the Spirit of Christ to come to his temple and dwell within us. This is the beginning of our faith. Faith is built up by hearing the Word of God, cleansing comes by the sprinkling of Christ's blood upon our hearts the washing by the word that brings us into Judgment by convicting us of our sin and Reveals to us The Spirit of Lawlessness which we serve in the flesh, because our heart has been beguiled and defiled by sin.
This is not the conclusion of the Salvation experience however, at this point we have just witnessed Christ's work on washing the outside of the vessel and we have had the seed of the Word sown into our minds and hearts. Christ still has work to do on the inside of us before we are prepare to be a vessel for him to dwell. The old man has to become humble and obedient and submits to death by Baptism in Jesus Name Acts 2:38 even as Christ submitted himself to the Death of the Cross.
The blood of Jesus Christ is the only blood that can WASH away our SINS and prepare us for the holy Spirit to come and dwell within us. Christ will not dwell in a dirty, unholy temple corrupted by sin and shared by SIN or the SPIRITS of DEVILS. (The Spirit of Lawlessness, Anti-Christ)
2. Baptism is by water into the DEATH of CHRIST that we may become partakers with Christ in all his sufferings even his DEATH! The corruptible body of man is born into this world and at the age of accountability we must make a decision for Christ and liberty from Sin, or to become a slave, to the Law of Sin (an Anti-Christ Spirit) inherited from the Father of Sin himself, Satan. The Sons and daughters of the Lawless One are spiritually dead and cannot receive anything that is reserved exclusively for the Children of God in the Kingdom. Therefore when we are baptized in water into the DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST, it is an act of obedience, the opposite of the old man's character (The Cain Spirit). The Man of Sin who rebels against God's Law is a slave to the Spirit of Lawlessness and he will always show himself to be so through his living testimony.
Children of Sin often refuse to follow Christ's example, they say NO, to the will and Righteousness of God! The Spirit of Lawlessness the Man of Sin will try everything in his power to convince you to let him continue to live, and prevent you from following Christ's example to us and follow him into that watery Grave of Christ and Baptism!
The Children of Righteousness that bear the fathers Name have put on his Righteousness through Faith, Obedience and the Spirit of Christ in them. They don't argue against Salvation or the Gospel They have become humble as children of the Father.
Christ said, "Ye must become as little children to enter the Kingdom of God". WE MUST SIMPLY BECOME OBEDIENT TO THE FATHER.
Then Yahshua came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by you, and are you coming to me?" But Yahshua Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Matthew 3:13-15
Did you back talk your natural father when he gave you instructions regarding what you should or shouldn't do? I know I didn't, My father would never tolerate that! He reminded me plenty that he was in Charge.
It's a little ridiculous now because we can see how silly we were as children, but it sure wasn't funny then! Was it?
Think about it friend, everything your father and mother told you to do as a child probably didn't make sense to you at the time did it? But we knew we better obey right? We have to trust God just like that! That's part of being a blessing to your parents is being obedient and trusting them to do what's right for you friend.
Baptism is when we are buried with Christ, into the likeness of his death, which is a cleansing both outwardly and inwardly of the temple.
This brings the inner man under subjection to Christ's DEATH (The Man of Sin and the Spirit of Lawlessness will Fight this!) through the act of obedience. That is, we take away this old flesh mans argument and power from our lives, being planted together with Christ in the likeness of his death, we are now taking our first baby steps as a new creation because the Old Curse of Sin that we were married to, is now dead. We are now free to pursue a new love, we will not be an adulterer if we fall in love with Christ because sin whom we were married to before Christ, no longer lives! Praise God!
But it isn't over yet Salvation is not yet a completed work. So far we have been called by Christ we have become partakers with Christ in his death by baptism through our obedience, and Sin is now Dead we have chosen a new Master to follow which is Christ Jesus our Lord, our vessel has been prepared by Christ and we have now humbled ourselves to him and offered our vessel to Christ as a living sacrifice to our lord and our Savior!
Strongs Greek word, #907 baptizo overwhelmed ( ie. fully wet ) same Greek word as in Acts 2:38, and 19:4 #907 baptizo in water into the Name singular of Jesus.
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by you, and are you coming to me?" But Yahshua answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Matthew 3:13-15
John was accustomed to baptizing people in response to their repentance of sins. It was a symbolic public declaration of a new birth into a new life of righteous living. He knew Yahshua had no need of such a baptism because he had no sin to turn from! It is Yahshua's answer to John's protest that is interesting here. He said, "It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness". Yahshua indicated to John that this was not to be the usual type of baptism. His baptism was to "fulfill all righteousness". I believe Yahshua's baptism was a type of anointing into the priesthood where righteousness is to be fulfilled... and this by John, the son of Zacharias and Elizabeth... a full-blooded Levite.
Christ's command for our baptism prepares us to take our place as heirs of Salvation through Christ as well as becoming a Testimony of Christ of the Kingdom of God. We also have become heirs of the kingdom, and priests through our subjection to Christ and have a duty to share the Kingdom with those who are bound by the chains of sin and set in darkness.
Rev 1:5-6
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 5:9-10
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
I especially appreciated the word building on the baptism of Christ. I had not previously associated both the Kingship and Priesthood together with his baptism by John. This does in fact strengthen and support the view and belief that we are heirs through Christ of the Kingdom and have become by his authority, Kings and Priests in respect to sharing this Message of the Kingdom through the ministry of the Word and Baptism into the Name of YahvehShua. Jesus All Praise to YahvehShua, Jesus.
Now we are prepared to receive Christ into our Temple to live and dwell with us that we two should become one as in marriage. This process is completed through the infilling of the Holy Ghost which is the Spirit of Christ in us. This is the consummation of our marriage to him. In this we are also raised in the likeness of his Resurrection unto everlasting life.
Paul said, "We come up out of the watery grave a new creature ALIVE TO CHRIST, with a new beginning, a house prepared unto good works, and a clean temple has been prepared for the Spirit of Christ to come and dwell with us in our house".
(Many organizations claim Baptism is not necessary?) You may esteem within yourselves that baptism has little to do with salvation, however baptism has everything to do with obedience and you are not following Christ as he commanded us to do without it!
What would have happened to Israel when they were down in Egypt if they would have refused to listen to Moses and put the lambs blood on their door posts? Moses said, "Do this that the death angel shall pass over your house that your first born shall not die! We are told by Paul that those things happened unto them as examples unto us!
We are the fruits of Christ unto God! Do not try to go around Christ as the Pharisees did to lay hold on God's promise to Abraham without being Obedient to Christ and receiving the seal of Christ!
Lu.3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
DISOBEDIENCE is the ERROR of SIN that caused Adam and Eve to fall, remember the Garden experience when God's Commandment and will were questioned? Obey the teaching's of Jesus Christ and the Apostles!
Do not obey the Cain Spirit, which is the Spirit of Lawlessness, which is the Glory and the Fruit of Satan, the Anti-Christ, and the False Prophets. They will continue to overcome you and defeat you both in the Physical Realm and the Spiritual Realm eventually destroying both your Mortal Body and your Soul.
Christ humbled himself (God manifest in the flesh 1 Tim 3:16) and was baptized by John, that is, the baptism unto repentance. Christ who knew no sin was baptized by John the Baptist. unto repentance? Christ could have easily called it foolishness and passed, he was sinless, he didn't have anything to repent of, but it was the fathers will, He came here to show us the way to Salvation, are we greater then Christ? Is Christ your Master today?
Get baptized friend, see Acts 2:38 and show Christ you Love him, and appreciate him showing you how to be humble through this, as he was.
The fact that anyone would fight against baptism, and say it serves no purpose is a testimony of their subjection to CHRIST or to SIN, and to fight against this if your aware of this truth and physically able, only bears witness, that The Man of Sin is alive and well your heart! No man can love two masters, you will love one and despise the other.
If it were not so, Sin would be dead and Obedience and Righteousness would RULE in matters pertaining to the Gospel unto Salvation.
Every man and woman must come to the full assurance of Christ themselves through their personal communion with Christ.
If Christ sets you free you are free indeed! Praise God, Let the Whole family of God give him Glory.
3.
Conversion is when we take on the LIFE of CHRIST. We become part of the Spiritual body of Christ by the infilling of the Holy Ghost which is the Spirit of Christ. The Spirit of Christ will then lead us into the depths of the Living Water and his word, and he shows us his will that we can live a life in the Spirit of Christ, that is the life of an over comer, because the Man of Sin is dead. He, The Man of Sin in us, died when we humbled ourselves before God. We asked God to forgive us of our Sin and we asked Christ for his help to find the path of Righteousness to give our lives unto him, that his Glory would be manifest in us. When we put that old man down in the watery grave of baptism after we Repented, we were then baptized into the death of Christ, Sin died we are no longer married to sin but are now married to Christ. As long as Sin lives we cannot be married to Christ, or else we become an adulterer, Christ will not share you with Sin in an adulterous relationship, else you make Christ to be an Adulterer also, GOD FORBID! this an abominable suggestion for anyone to offer to God such a polluted Temple!
Because we are joined in one body to Christ through the infilling of the Holy Ghost, we now have the power to overcome Sin, Sleep and Sickness, even those problems that have their roots in Sin, addictions and so on, because if Sin is dead it shall not rule in our mortal bodies anymore!
When you are converted, YOU, SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THE HOLY GHOST HAS COME UPON YOU, to overcome and to cast down the principalities and strongholds of evil that come to pull you off course. This is made possible through the POWER of CHRIST that lives in YOU!
Praise God for such a dynamic and glorious plan for the redeemed of The Lord! Hallelujah! The Joy of the Spirit, the Living God on the inside of us, should move you to
PRAISE HIM FRIEND! FOR HE HATH WROUGHT A WORK THAT IS MARVELOUS !This should make you want to get on your feet and do some walking, running or dancing for the Lord Friend! Praise God for he has revealed to us who deserved nothing but Death, his Glory by performing this work in us!
You ought to just think on this for a minute, and think about the goodness of God in your life friend!
Praise God! Doth not the MERCY of God and this revelation of his LOVE for YOU lead you to Repentance? God has done a wonderful thing for his beloved children. Bless, the Name of YahvahShua (Jesus)
Christ said, "There are three that bear witness in the earth! The Water, The Spirit and The Blood and these three agree as one"Nothing can be left undone in this matter. In this the Righteousness of God is Manifest and bears witness that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD! Bless, the Name of YahvahShua (Jesus)!
An Exhortation to come to Christ and Deny the Man of Sin inside us!
